iPhone user experience presentation

Courtesy of Usability News, I found this slideshow about user experience created by the team that helped design the iPhone. This is nothing new to UX practitioners, but it might be useful when selling UX to stakeholders.

The comment on slide #2 is telling "you delay projects and extend deadlines". Unfortunately, that's still what too many people think.

Yeah, unfortunately that's a hard one to kill because there's a kernel of truth to it. UX does delay projects and extend deadlines, but only if your baseline is "not caring about quality." If you do care about quality and want to put out a quality product, then UX saves time and money. Sadly, the "if" in the above statement is all too real.

BTW, congrats on your new digs. Going from "debabblog" to "user effect" is a good example of debabble. =)
